General information

XXIX URSI Convention on Radio Science will be held at Dipoli Congress Centre in Espoo, Finland, on November 1-2, 2004. The convention is organized by the Finnish National Committee of URSI, VTT Information Technology, and Finland IEEE Section and IEEE AP/ED/MTT Chapter. The convention provides a forum for discussion of advances in the broad field of radio science and radio communications. The program will include contributed and invited presentations.

Conference topics

The following topics are highlighted:

RF Microelectromechanical Systems (RF-MEMS)
4th Generation Mobile Communications (4G)
Defence and security

Paper submissions are also invited corresponding to the URSI scientific commissions A, B, C, D, E, F, J and K: Electromagnetic Metrology, Electromagnetic Theory, Signals and Systems, Electronics and Photonics, Noise and Interference, Wave Propagation and Remote Sensing, Radio Astronomy, and Electromagnetics in Biology and Medicine. Contributions in other areas of radio science and radio communications technologies are also welcome.

Papers and conference proceedings

At the most four page papers of contributed presentations (deadline for submission of the final version is October 1, 2004) will be published in the conference proceedings. The paper submissions should be in final camera-ready form and submitted electronically in PDF format. Templates and samples are available for downloading from the conference web page.

Submission procedure

The paper submissions should be sent by electronic mail (in PDF format) to vtt.ursi2004@vtt.fi. In the covering letter, please indicate your preference for the oral or poster format of presentation. Submitted papers are reviewed by the Technical Committee.
